The social media celebrity and founder & CEO of Yoga wear brand ‘Confused Girl In The City’ has a lot to share. Time to add the finishing touches to her coming book.
Life is looking bright for Giovanna Silvestre. “Seven Things Every Confused Girl Should Do” is coming to a wrap, as the influencer is continuing writing process in her residence in Bali. Between CEO duties for her Yoga wear brand and collaborations with international businesses, the inspirational figure keeps finding time to write down her experiences and advice on her balcony.
The social media star has everything but the typical career bath to look back on. She graduated with honours after studying International Relations. Growing up as the daughter of an Italian immigrant who started with his own restaurant and turned it into a successful business, the entrepreneurial spirit and inspiration always came naturally. But after her graduation, it took Silvestre into the entertainment industry, where she would make valuable experience of working on productions of names such as Marvel, ABC, Peter Jackson & Kenneth Branagh.
‘Confused Girl In The City’ probably would have never been called into existence, if it wasn’t for Silvestre’s ‘internal awakening’ around six years ago. She describes a time following personal struggles that deeply affected the way she would look at herself, her life, and the world. The experiences she made inspired her to take photos of healing crystals and turn them into the design of Yoga pants. The popular pieces are fully made in Los Angeles, and have been featured in international magazines such as Forbes, Yoga Digest, Silicon Beach Magazine & the cover of Yoga LA.
“ Two favorite entrepreneurial moments were when my intern was in Munich Germany and texted me that she saw a girl biking by in our leggings. Also, when I was having a moment of doubt and I saw a girl walking by in our leggings in Venice beach as I was driving past her. These are a few of my favorite moments. I love seeing our customers feeling confident and happy in our apparel.” Giovanna describes her personal highlights of being her brand succeed.
Co-ordinating multiple project with success
Silvestre become a social media star through Instagram and her ‘Confused Girl’ blog. Today, the famous influencer has teamed up with global brands from T-Mobile, Vitamin Water, Coca-Cola, Target, Walmart, Crocs, Lindt Chocolate, to Audi, Vaseline and many more. Silvestre is one of the very first female stars to represent the German automobile manufacturers Audi, a particularly proud moment in her empowering career.
And it seems the time is just right for her to share her lessons, insights and stories with her followers on a more detailed and personal platform. Having started her journey as a blog, her first written book is a logical step approaching the next chapter. Silvestre hopes ‘Seven Things Every Confused Girl Should Do’ will “help women of every age to navigate a positive life course through a rapidly changing world of new opportunities that, while seemingly daunting in some respects, nevertheless offers women greater potential than ever before for achieving self-fulfillment through the discovery and pursuit of their true nature and passions.”
